Hi, I’m Yurika Kubo, the voice of Shark Meow! I’ve known about Shark Meow (mofusand) long before the audition, but I never imagined I’d actually get to play this role… I’m so, so happy — but it still doesn’t feel real. That’s how grateful I am for this chance.
Cat language is universal! Cuteness is the strongest power!! I’m sure Shark Meow will be loved by even more people from here on out — so please keep cheering for this adorable kitty shark!
Every morning, my cats shout, “Time to wake up!”
If the food bowl is empty, they look at me like, “Excuse me — this!”
And if the litter box is dirty, they cry, “Noooo!” and drag me over…
Since I live with such chatty cats every day,I felt totally confident about the audition —like, “There’s no way I won’t fit in!”
During recording, our meows got so realistic you might think they were actual cat sound samples!
We were meowing back to the director without even thinking —
we must have all been cats in a past life.

I’ve always loved mofusand, so seeing these fluffy little ones move around so freely on screen makes me incredibly happy — I can’t wait! I’ve spent most of my life with cats, so as I dive into the world of Shark Meows, I’ll be remembering all the things the cats I’ve lived with have taught me along the way.
I truly believe that “cat language” is universal — so I hope the cuteness and charm of this series reaches many people around the world!
I’m Kaori Maeda, and I’ll be playing Strawberry Meow! Every day I watch cute cat videos that always give me energy, so when I heard about this audition, I thought, “What a wonderful fate for a cat lover like me!”
I had a cat in my family when I was little, and my love for cats will last forever! I’ve always seen “mofusand” around, so I’m just so happy to become part of such an adorable world!

The cast kept reacting to each other in such a cat-like way during recording, that by the end we were accidentally meowing back to the direction given! The whole studio turned into mofusand — it was such a heart-warming place to be.
